Clinical & Practice Consultation

I have offered clinical consultation services to fully licensed professionals since 2009. The topics on which I offer consultation has evolved over time, as my own knowledge and practice experience have expanded and deepened.

I see the role of the consultant as that of both a learner and a teacher, and my style is very interactive and supportive. To that end, I incorporate both current and historical clinical research, as well as practice wisdom and intuition, into the learning process.

I am recognized by the EMDR International Association as an Approved Consultant, and as being Certified in EMDR therapy. Please contact me to discuss what that means for you if you are seeking EMDRIA Certification in EMDR therapy or pursuing EMDRIA Approved Consultant status.

I offer consultation services for the following purposes:

• Certification in EMDR therapy (press/click here for more information about EMDRIA Certification)
• Advanced practice applications involving
  • EMDR therapy in treating addictions/compulsions
  • EMDR therapy in treating complex trauma and dissociation
  • EMDR therapy’s Early Trauma Approach
  • Ego State Therapy, and integration with EMDR therapy
• Administering, and interpreting results from, the Multidimensional Inventory of Dissociation, as well as conceptualizing how to use the results to ensure effective treatment. This is especially critical in developing competence in the screening and assessment of dissociative psychopathology prior to employing BL-DAS in EMDR therapy, whether in preparation or trauma accessing.
• Diagnosis, conceptualization, and treatment of complex trauma and dissociative disorders
• Practice development for emerging mental health professionals

Currently, I do not offer consultation services to emerging EMDR therapists in the midst of completing Basic Training. Please contact your trainer for recommended/approved resources for completing the required 10 hours of consultation for Basic Training.

I offer consultation services for a fee of $175.00 for a 60-minute consultation and $100.00 for a 30-minute consultation. For a deeper dive into the issue(s) at hand, I generally recommend an hour as being more helpful. I am in some instances able to offer a reduced fee for consultation to practitioners who work with underserved populations or in not-for-profit settings, who are themselves a member of a marginalized community, or who practice in countries with depressed economies.
